A proud native of Ohio, Heath had big plans of becoming a professional basketball player – certainly more becoming than a Pastor. But God had other plans. Heath realized his calling into ministry when he helped guide students to Christ one summer as a camp leader.
Along his journey into ministry, Heath earned a communications degree from Calvin College and a Masters in Divinity from Reformed and Fuller Theological seminaries. He has also worked for Young Life, Christ Covenant Church, Bel-Air Church, Church at Charlotte, and has led many trips to serve others around the world, including to Costa Rica, Peru and Ethiopia. For 4 years Heath served as an integral staff member at New Charlotte Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, preaching several Sundays and serving as the Student Pastor and Connections Pastor. In April 2016, Heath stepped onto the team at The Cove Church in Mooresville, North Carolina as the West Rowan Campus Pastor.
And after 2 years at The Cove, Heath just recently accepted an Associate Pastor role at Spring Branch Community Church in Virginia Beach.
An incredibly gifted and engaging speaker, Heath loves to preach in chapels, at camps or weddings, or to the birds in his backyard. Combining humor, life experience, scriptural knowledge, and a winsome personality, Heath has a unique God-given ability to relate to people of any age and at any stage. Heath’s proudest achievement is his beautiful family, Lyndsay, his lovely wife of 15 years and his three beautiful children, Rett, Eisley, and Lylah.
His mission is simple:
To preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at all times to all people by all means.
To see the Gospel convict, challenge, encourage, and inspire people, both old and young, lukewarm and lost.
To watch how Jesus’ life makes others want to live like Him.
To witness the Gospel empower people to realize their fullest potential in life.

“Heath is a great friend and brother in Christ. His passion for Jesus and His Gospel is evident in his interactions with all he comes in contact with. Using his God given talents, Heath does an amazing job relating the Gospel to whomever he may be speaking to. Weather speaking to a peer or a room full of middle school kids, he meets them where they are at in a loving and intentional way. I’m proud to call him friend and even more proud to call him brother.”
